Layer cake production line
We have developed a special production line for making layer cake (cake with various layers of filling).
Cake is aerated in the same way as marsh mallows. The aerated mass is sprayed onto a belt via a wide extruder and placed directly in the oven. From the oven, it goes via a large (reversing) drum towards our installation. Here, we cut the cake slice lengthways into a number of strips. A number of things may take place. The most obvious is that we alternately place a layer of cream or jam on the slices. Shoes, required for operating the reversing drum, place the string of cake without topping on top of the cake with topping next to it. We then press and cut to size. A layer of chocolate can be added to the cake in a so-called enrober.
The result is a great Swiss cake to enjoy with a cup of coffee.
